The Top Ten Ways to Use PDTA Materials to Strengthen, Stabilize and Build your Cohesive Team

This is one of the most favorite times of the year!

A time to be with family and friends, enjoying all the holiday decorations, and maybe even enjoying a blanket of snow!
For many of us, it is a time to look at our practices and plan for the changes we want to make in 2023. We look for ways to improve the practice, make it more efficient, productive, profitable and less stressful.

How can we make this happen without having more things to do which causes us even more stress? I know some practices are understaffed and overworked and the last thing you want to do is add one more thing to the list of what needs to get done!

Want some HELP getting this accomplished is an easy, efficient, effective way?

This is exactly what the PDTA is all about – helping you develop a team that is more efficient, accountable and dependable without causing more work for the Doctor!

Here are some of the ways to use the PDTA online training materials:

  • Use the Marketing modules for internal and external marketing ideas for the practice. These are easy to implement for your website as well as social media. There are many ideas for contests for referral sources as well as your patients and their families. How about a contest of the best Christmas drawing – judged by who has the most likes on your practice facebook page? Your families post a photo of the drawing to your practice facebook page and they get their friends and family to like it and whoever gets the most likes gets a prize of your choosing! Or a family photo in Christmas style pajamas or the family “Happy Holidays” card?
  • Use the Hiring Job Descriptions and Checklists to develop individual team member’s assignments and accountability to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability in the practice. Utilize these resources objectively evaluate a team member’s skill sets in order to individualize any training needed and evaluate their progress. Orhave each team member submit what they do every day/week, then evaluate and edit. Assign specific tasks to individual team members so you can track and hold them accountable for their duties, especially those that are not patient oriented. These can be daily, weekly, and monthly.

In this video, Dr. Haugseth discusses  a couple more ways that PDTA members utilize the PDTA materials in their practices.
